When you watch a chick flick, a wedding is usually the culmination or ending to the movie. You’ve laughed, cried and sometimes thrown popcorn at the screen as you experience the journey that brought these two people together (….then apart, and then together again….usually at an airport or train station or possibly a bus stop.) But that’s beside the point….the point is that typically a wedding ends our cinematic romantic adventures; it’s the culmination of two people’s love for each other and that’s where the story stops for the audience. However, in reality, a wedding is the beginning of a brand new adventure in the lives of the couple in question. They will experience life in a whole new way, have a different perspective on the world around them, have all new sorts of relationship challenges, and they get to share everything, the good and the bad, with the one person who has promised to love them, honor them, cherish them and stick by them forever.
On December 26th, I had the honor of shooting Allie and Matt’s wedding. Allie and Matt have been together for 7 years, and their love for each other, their close friendship with each other is very apparent to those around them and for Allie and Matt, their family and close friends, this wedding was such a celebration of a love that has been maturing for a long while. A culmination of their love so far, but also a beautiful new beginning, and I wish them lots of joy, laughs and love as they continue their journey together.
Here are just a few of my favorites from their day….and oh yeah, I got to shoot with Erik again, so you’ll see a few of his shots featured as well!

Thanks for looking!
