This past weekend Columbus had the pleasure of being buried under about 10-12 inches of snow. For true. I just love snow and I still get that excited, giddy feeling that I got when I was 6 years old every time winter rolls around and the weatherman predicts that we’re going to get lots of snow. I just love it! The flakes wafting so gently and sparkling by the light of a street lamp, the way the entire world just stills and stops, the way it covers everything in a pristine blanket of white signifying new chances, new possibilities, a clean slate. It’s special when it snows. It’s an interruption in our routine-driven lives. For all these reasons, I love snow.
My daughter is 3 years old and she also loves snow mostly because it’s cold, wet and fun and so at the first available opportunity she and my husband went out on Saturday afternoon and built her first snowman. OF COURSE I chronicled the event through photos…so for all ya’ll out there in the blog-o-sphere, may I introduce Mr. Snowman
