Meet Jen & Nate.  Jenny, you are an amazing, amazing friend.  Thank you for putting up with me all those years when we roomed together, thank you for laughing with me, crying with me, occasionally making fun of me, doing my highlights, sharing my tendency to get “sanctification” and “justification” mixed up (I’ve finally gotten those figured out), being a snooze-fiend with me,  being real with me even when it was hard, and for just being you.  Thank you for introducing me to my husband, for chilling with me and sitting in the waiting room all night when Rory was born just so you could meet her.  Thank you for all the awesome memories, past, present and to come.  Nate, I have not known you long, but I can tell you’re perfect for Jenny and I think the two of you together is just awesome.  Take care of my girl for me.  Praying that God blesses you both and gives you many, many long years together, many memories and much happiness.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

married: allie & matt

When you watch a chick flick, a wedding is usually the culmination or ending to the movie. You’ve laughed, cried and sometimes thrown popcorn at the screen as you experience the journey that brought these two people together (….then apart, and then together again….usually at an airport or train station or possibly a bus stop.) But that’s beside the point….the point is that typically a wedding ends our cinematic romantic adventures; it’s the culmination of two people’s love for each other and that’s where the story stops for the audience. However, in reality, a wedding is the beginning of a brand new adventure in the lives of the couple in question. They will experience life in a whole new way, have a different perspective on the world around them, have all new sorts of relationship challenges, and they get to share everything, the good and the bad, with the one person who has promised to love them, honor them, cherish them and stick by them forever.

On December 26th, I had the honor of shooting Allie and Matt’s wedding. Allie and Matt have been together for 7 years, and their love for each other, their close friendship with each other is very apparent to those around them and for Allie and Matt, their family and close friends, this wedding was such a celebration of a love that has been maturing for a long while. A culmination of their love so far, but also a beautiful new beginning, and I wish them lots of joy, laughs and love as they continue their journey together. :)

Here are just a few of my favorites from their day….and oh yeah, I got to shoot with Erik again, so you’ll see a few of his shots featured as well!
