More from Virginia…

Today was great! I got another opportunity to just get off by myself and to just shoot whatever caught my eye. Tonight the fam and I all went to this great little seafood place that was right on the water. You could boat to it if you wanted and tie up right outside the restaurant! Oh the things we miss in central Illinois! But anyway, yes, I took my camera along and ended up playing around with some dock pylons and a very slow shutter speed. So here are a couple of those pictures…

I also got to take a few family pictures of my parents and my sister for their Christmas card today, but I promised to do some retouching, so those will be up within the next couple days.

Later alligators…

Greetings from Broad Reach!

I’m on vacation this week visiting my grandparents in Virginia. As far as I’m concerned, they live in one of the most beautiful spots on God’s green earth; on a small river off of the Rappahannock River which flows into the Chesapeake Bay. It’s right on the water and the view is just incredible and so refreshing to the soul. So I thought I’d share some photos from my trip (and I’m not done yet, so there will probably be even more later this weekend). The color is probably a bit off because I had to throw them together on my old non-color calibrated laptop, but here they are. Enjoy!

The one where I lost my lens hood…

Yesterday I had a really fun family shoot with siblings Bonnie, Chris & Mason. They were good sports and let me try some different poses, even though I think they thought I was crazy. But we got some really fun pictures…which you can see below:

And Mason & Chris, thanks again for trying to rescue my lens hood! ;)
